Modern Image is committed deeply to preserving and improving the condition of our planet. We can't sit idle while our planet becomes inhospitable for human habitation. Here's what we are doing:

Green Delivery! We have a 2-pronged strategy that includes paper pick-up with the fuel-efficient Honda Element instead of low-mileage vans and trucks. Our most recent innovation is Green Delivery, that is, when it is feasible to deliver on a bike, we do it. This typically includes delivery of CD/DVD with our clients data. We may be a little sweaty when we show up, but we will have burned zero fossil fuels and emitted zero carbon. We can deliver hundreds of thousands of pages on disk with a single Green Delivery! Green Delivery only costs $10 more, and half of that will go to the WABA, the Washington Area Bicyclist Association.
Encouraging all of our clients to recycle their paper documents.
Turning off equipment when not in use. Scanners and computers, as well as just about everything in our home and office, consume electricity when not in use.
Turning off lights when not in use. Sounds simple, right. That is because it is simple. Just do it.
Adding energy efficient light bulbs wherever we can.

Press Display - As we looked at the weekly pile of newspapers waiting for recycling, it occurred to us that the simple act of receiving a newspaper was in itself very wasteful. Press Display is a full representation of several hundred different newspapers, including the Washington, Baltimore, and Richmond local papers. This has already saved a good 40 foot pile of newspaper!
